Ian is the founder and CEO of Level 3 Construction. He launched the company in 2004 with a straightforward conviction: Great construction and great design should never be in conflict.
With more than 25 years in the industry, Ian has built an extensive portfolio spanning multifamily housing, ground-up hotels, mixed-use developments, affordable housing communities, and major hotel renovations throughout the West Coast. What sets him apart is a rare combination of deep technical expertise and a genuine eye for design. He approaches every project with equal concern for how it’s built and how it will look and feel when it’s done.
Ian’s background is unconventional for a contractor. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a focus on Information Systems from San Diego State University — a foundation that shaped his systems-thinking approach to construction management and his early adoption of technology to improve how projects are planned, communicated, and delivered.
What hasn’t changed since the company’s founding is Ian’s direct involvement in every project. For clients, that means consistent access to someone who knows the work from the ground up and is personally invested in the outcome.
